Magic Lessons: Celebratory and Cautionary Tales about Life as a (Single, Gay, Transracially Adoptive) Dad shares stories and reflections about family life for Joe—a single, gay, white man—and his adopted black sons. It details Joe’s experiences of being amazed, aggravated, exasperated, and awed by his kids and others in their family journey—and reveals lessons learned about being “other” and Joe’s own parenting successes and mistakes.
“Joe reminds us of those moments that make life with your children magical.”
